All Skills and Ages Welcome (*Guardian attendance required for anyone under 10).
The Ice Bowl is a disc golf event that embraces winter play and raises money for local food banks. It has the motto: No Wimps. No Whiners. Players are encouraged to welcome the cold and snow, and come out to toss discs in the snow.
All skill levels are welcome. Discs will be available for borrow on the day of the event. Casual play for everyone will be possible from 3-4pm. At 4pm an organized 18-hole tournament will take place. There will be prizes for the casual player as well as the top scorers. Multiple categories are provided to make play more fair and fun.
Ice Bowls are sanctioned events with Ice Bowl Foundation, an organization that promotes winter disc golf, and food security initiatives across North America. Find out more about Ice Bowls here. As such, City of Dawson’s Ice Bowl is also a fundraiser for the Dawson City Food Bank. Financial and non-perishable goods will be collected at the event. All proceeds will be donated to the Dawson City Food Bank.
Event Details:
• 3pm to 4pm – Casual play (all welcome)
• 4pm – Tournament – 18 holes. Approximately 1 and half hour of gameplay
• Multiple Divisions (Beginner/Casual, Youth, Intermediate)
• Register ahead of time (link below), or in-person before 3:45pm.
• $25 is the suggested monetary donation. Donations can be made ahead of time, or in-person.
• Non-perishable food items are encouraged from all players.
• All monetary and food donations go directly to the Dawson City Food Bank.
