Commemorative Parks Program

COMMEMORATIVE BENCH PROGRAM

This program has been established to increase public enjoyment and participation in our parks and green space.

People may participate in this program by making a donation of $850.  This will cover the cost of a locally hand crafted bench, a personalized brass plaque.

The Recreation Department will make every effort to accomadate your location request.  Installation locations include:

-The Waterfront Park
-Dyke Trail
-Minto Park
-Community Garden
-Victory Gardens
-Canada 125
-Crocus Bluff Ball Park
-Centennial Park
-North End Park

Applications for the Commemorative Bench Program are accepted year round.  Each application must complete Application and return it to the Recreation Department.    Commemorative Bench Brochure

Commemorative Parks Program

The City of Dawson Commemorative Parks Progran provides opportunity for the public to pay tribute to a significant occasion or individual by the commemoration of a tree or park furnishing.  This will create a lasting memory and contribute to the beautification of our parks and greenspaces.

Applications must be completed in full on the appropriate form and submitted to the City of Dawson.  Applications are not considered complete until payment has been recieved.

Donors may choose a tree, site furnishing or amenity from the program menu to be installed.  Recreation staff will make every effort to comply with the wishes of the contributor for the location of all commemorative installations withing the selected park.
